Beijing--With some of the highest rates of certain cancers and other diseases, and a compliant population with limited geographical mobility, China offers unparalleled opportunities for large-scale intervention trials. Several studies, some with international collaborators, are under way to try to reduce the incidence of diseases ranging from stomach cancer to neural tube defects.
