Products & Materials

The ULYSIS Labeling Kits are designed for improved binding of marker groups to DNA, RNA, and other oligonucleotides routinely used in in situ hybridization procedures. The kits feature the proprietary Universal Linkage System, a nonradioactive method that makes use of a novel platinum derivative as the linkage between nucleic acids and the nonradioactive marker of choice. The platinum compound links to single-stranded DNA, double-stranded DNA, RNA, chromosomes, or oligonucleotides. The unique, noncovalent interaction of the system allows optimal probe labeling with a variety of markers including biotin, fluorochromes, digoxigenin, chemiluminescent labels, and enzymes.
