Politicians Sweat Over Global Warming

Earlier this month, politicians, scientists, and lobbyists gathered in Kyoto, Japan, to face up to a burning question: If human emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases will warm the world, what should be done about it? Kyoto provided a few answers, but negotiators will have to reconvene in November 1998 in Buenos Aires to tackle several unresolved issues.
