Caregivers Need Healing, Too

Many family members of Alzheimer's patients want to keep their loved ones out of nursing homes. But the burden on these caretakers is overwhelming: They have a higher than average risk of serious illness, and one psychologist found that 75% of family caregivers show signs of major depression. So some researchers are looking for ways to relieve the caregivers' burden.
